Reader BioSmart DCR-PV-LCD

The reader BioSmart DCR-PV-LCD is designed to scan the subcutaneous palm veins of users, creating biometric templates, providing verification and identification of users by the palm veins. The reader can be used in access control systems, in time & attendance systems, and as part of other systems that require verification or identification of users by the palm veins. Communication is provided via the Ethernet interface.

Operating Principle
The reader BioSmart DCR-PV-LCD operates under the control of an external workstation or a server with special software installed on them. When receiving a control command, the reader performs the actions corresponding to this command (displays a message on the screen, performs identification or verification, transfers the comparison results, etc.).
The process of scanning the palm veins is as follows. Upon receiving a command from the workstation or server, the reader starts searching and scanning the palm veins using the built-in biometric scanner. When an object is brought to the biometric scanner, the parameters of this object are analyzed. If the attached object is recognized as a palm of a living person and this palm is attached in such a way that it is possible to read biometric data of sufficient quality, then BioSmart DCR-PV-LCD reads the biometric data of the palm vein pattern obtained in the infrared range and converts it into a form suitable for further use (enrollment, verification or identification).

Ethernet communication with the workstation or server, as well as power supply of the reader using PoE technology, is carried out via a PoE injector through the RJ45 connectors. 
The PoE Injector (IEEE802.3af) used shall be EMC Class B and shall be grounded. It is recommended to use the ZyXEL POE12-HP PoE injector and shielded patch cords corresponding to the SF/UTP (S/FTP) construction types.
